Khadeeja Asif

I grew up in Bentonville, AR and graduated from Bentonville High School in 2020. I completed 20 AP/IB courses, and was named a National Merit Finalist as well as recognized as an Exceptional Scholar by the Bentonville Schools District. I am now attending the University of Arkansas where I have been awarded the Bodenhamer Fellowship as well as the Arkansas Governor's Distinguished scholarship. I'm a premed student double-majoring in Biochemistry and Psychology, and minoring in Arabic and Medical Humanities. Aside from classwork, I serve on the University of Arkansas' Honors College Advisory Council and volunteer with NWA Canopy - a nonprofit that helps refugees resettle in the NWA area. Post-pandemic (which is hopefully in the near future), I'm looking forward to studying abroad in Guatemala and Sweden!

I am now attending the University of Arkansas as an honors nursing student and an Arkansas Razorback Cheerleader. On campus, I serve on the Razorback Spirit Community Involvement and the Every Hog Committees. While in college, I have received several awards including: Mentor Leadership Award, Epitome of a Razorback, and Teammate of the Year. I’ve studied abroad in Spain and look forward to studying abroad in Sweden this June.

Josh Jacobs

I graduated from Collierville High School in Memphis, TN as the Student Body President and a founding member of our Freshman Mentor Program. I got a 35 on the ACT, although before that final score I understood the frustration of receiving the same score over and over again. I hope I am able to help students gain confidence when they face down their tests. I am currently a Junior at the University of Arkansas, where I am a Bodenhamer Fellow. I am a Classical Studies major, with minors in Religious and Jewish Studies. My research currently involves the ancient Near East, and I am passionate about studying ancient Semitic languages. After my undergraduate studies, I hope to pursue a PhD in ancient Near Eastern languages and civilizations. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, and card games.
